The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) has adopted its Work Programme 2026–2027, setting out guidance and cooperation priorities for the next two years.
The programme signals planned work on topics including anonymisation and pseudonymisation, children's data, and 'consent or pay' models, alongside continued efforts to strengthen cooperation and consistent enforcement across the EU.
The EDPB also indicates an intention to produce more practical resources such as templates, checklists, FAQs and how-to materials aimed at easing implementation for organisations.
Acompli perspective: When the EDPB elevates a topic, it often becomes an inspection question. Use the programme as an evidence backlog roadmap for 2026. Align your regulatory guidance tracking with EDPB priorities, and ensure your compliance priorities reflect the direction of travel.
